Plurilinguism 4.0 – The Hackathon
Shape the future of Swiss linguistic diversity!
At this hackathon, Forum Helveticum in cooperation with Opendata.ch is promoting the future of Swiss multilingualism and intercultural exchange: How can we use new technologies to improve language skills in Switzerland? How can we optimise and strengthen communication between language communities? How can we minimize possible negative effects of new technologies in this area? Join us on November 23-24 and work with us to develop solutions to these challenges.

More about the Hackathon
Hackathons are a type of hands-on workshop, where cross-disciplinary teams are formed to look for creative solutions and launch new projects together.
For the “Plurilinguism 4.0 Hackathon”, linguists, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, data analysts, experts and the curious public will put their heads together to promote linguistic understanding. As an impetus, various institutions and individuals (such as from politics, civil society, startups, universities, business, etc.) will present project ideas and challenges on the subject of multilingualism and cultural understanding. The participants who join in to support one of the presented initiatives are invited to work for 24 hours on possible solutions.
The resulting concepts and prototypes will be presented at the end of the hackathon, and evaluated by a jury of experts. The two most promising projects will be rewarded with coaching, prize money, and access to support networks.
